Springer book reporting on Dicode results is out!

Springer has just published a book reporting on research carried out within the context of the Dicode project. The book's title is “Mastering Data-Intensive Collaboration and Decision Making: Cutting-edge research and practical applications in the Dicode project” (226 p., 98 illus., details at: http://www.springer.com/engineering/computational+intelligence+and+compl...). It has been published under Springer's "Studies in Big Data" Series.

Dicode results will be published in a Springer book

A publishing agreement with Springer has been signed to prepare a book reporting on the most significant results of the Dicode project. Its tentative title is “Mastering Data-Intensive Collaboration and Decision Making: Cutting-edge research and practical applications in the Dicode project”. The book will be edited by Nikos Karacapilidis.

Keynote Talk and Tutorial at CONSEG 2013

Vania Dimitrova will give a Keynote Talk about the Dicode project at the 7th International Conference on Software Engineering, 15-17 November 2013, Pune, India (http://www.conseg.in/pune2013/). The title of the talk is “The Bumpy Ride of Engineering Innovative Intelligent Systems to Augment Human Practice”. In addition, Dicode semantic services will be presented by Dhaval Thakker and Vania Dimitrova in a tutorial at the same conference. The title of the tutorial is “Semantic-enriched intelligent support to make sense of social and linked data”.

Winner of IESD 2013 Challenge

Congratulations to the winning team at the IESD 2013 Challenge sponsored by DICODE:
Roberto García, Josep Maria Brunetti, Rosa Gil and Juan Manuel Gimeno. Rhizomer: Overview, Facets and Pivoting for Semantic Data Exploration.

The IESD Challenge aims to attract participations from the Semantic Web community particularly focusing on semantic data exploration. The Challenge is open to everyone from industry and academia. It was an event in the Second International Workshop on Intelligent Exploration of Semantic Data (IESD'2013) at Hypertext 2013, Paris, France.

Dicode Text Mining technology @ CeBit 2013

Dicode Text Mining technology was demonstrated at CeBit2013 in Hannover.
The Fraunhofer IAIS "Living Lab Big Data Demonstrator" features emotion detection and topic model technology that was originally developed for the Dicode use case 3.
